Discussion of Proposed Changes to the 'Top N' Document
Based on Experience with NetLogger and MySQL
-
The DIDC group at Berkeley Lab has applied the DAMED ideas for
event naming to come up with a set of
NetLogger messages for some network measurement tools including ping, iperf,
netest (from LBNL) and web100 variables, as well as some host measurements
including CPU load and free memory. These messages are being stored into a
relational database. This session will discuss proposed
modifications and extensions of the DAMED
"Top N" document that arose during this work, including issues with specificity
of naming, required "additional" parameters for events, and ways of representing
aggregation.

DAMED-wg/CIM-wg/NM-wg Interactions
-
To some degree, the DAMED-WG, CIM-WG, and NM-WG are all defining
the name and structure for Grid information. In order to avoid duplicating
work, and to cross-pollinate new ideas, these groups need to meet and
periodically discuss their current status. This session will be the
first such discussion.
